Head of Sustainability, Itaú Unibanco


Denise has about 30 years of experience in the financial market, in many businesses areas like Treasury and Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Investment, Investors Relations, Financial Planning, Wealth management and Innovation. She became head of the Sustainability and Inclusive Business, which includes Microcredit and Women Entrepreneurs programs, at Itaú Unibanco, in 2010 conducting a strategic review in sustainable performance vision from the bank, with senior management, board members, and important stakeholders. Actually, she is Chief Sustainability Advisor, responsible for advisory in trends and opportunities regarding Sustainability, Diversity, Human Rights and Inclusive business. During these period, until 2018, she had an important contribution to engage leadership in many roles as co-chair of UNEP FI Steering Committee, Director of Sustainability Commission of Febraban – Brazilian Federal Banks Association, President of the UN Global Compact Brazilian Network, and also, part of the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development, CEBDS, in partnership with WBCSD, and board member of the Financial Alliance for Women.
